Are Google Adwords, Yahoo, and Bing advertising right for home heating companies? Here at Fuelstart we too are guilty of using Google Adwords to get the word out about our company and services. We all know Google is the Cadillac of online advertising, but I'm amazed how much certain keywords cost.
Heating oil prices ma
Best heating oil prices
Connecticut Oil
Massachusetts Oil
By no means I'm telling you not to use these advertising services. Heck we use them. The point I'm trying to make is just advertise on Fuelstart.com. No no just kidding. The real point is make sure you keep an eye on your daily budget and be sure your targeting the right area demographic. This will save your company lots of wasted clicks and more importantly save you Money!
BTW: We offer cheap highly targeted online advertising services. Click here for more details.

Interesting topic. I do reviews on green energy generators on my blog. I'm looking for some feedback on the products I review, if you have the time I'd really appreciate it, thanks! My blog: Magniwork Clean Generator
We've also found the PPC to be quite expensive, but the market sets the rates. Hopefully the Bing / Yahoo alliance will lower ad costs through competition for ad dollars
The great part about pay per click ads is that you can track every penny. I know most successful HVAC contractors in Vt that I work with advertise on the search engines. Yes, even in a remote area in Vermont!
We've found that PPC is not really worth it, but maybe we just chose the wrong keywords. "Best heating oil prices" might not be good in the Denver area where nobody uses oil heat.
"Furnace repair" might be better, but we haven't really tracked it. Interesting post.
@Denver HVAC Guy:
Of course PPC is worth it! You just need to use it properly and use the right keyword and description for you ad...
We've tried it a bit too as well. It's too expensive we feel. So, we stopped using Adwords.
